Go beyond the words, and translate the message

Head Translators

Our translators take into account the underlying messages, target audience, cultural elements, company image or personal style of the writer, and can work collaboratively with clients to help establish brand image or vocabulary style. We like to develop long-term relationships in order to acquire an in-depth understanding of your operations and corporate language.

Annie Laberge
English > French (Québec)

Being passionate about communication, language registers, creative writing and literature, I see the French language as a multi-faceted instrument or a playground. I believe my background in language teaching, creative writing, poetry and translation all bring unique perspectives to the way I approach language – with each discipline working to complement and enrich one another. I’m particularly fond of work involving web content, marketing campaigns or advertising copy, scripts or creative texts, and anything in the realm of localization expertise.

Danielle O’Brien

Translation is a delicate balancing act – as translators we play with vocabulary and syntax, rhythm and pace, tone and register, form and function to deliver the right message to a client’s audience. As we write about new processes, people, projects and ideas, it’s a chance to participate in change; I feel privileged to partake in that journey with each and every client. With Lingo since 2003, I’ve been lucky enough to combine many interests into a single profession through work on procedural, pedagogical and legal documents, creative challenges in branding, scientific papers, cultural adaptation and poetry.

Geneviève Sauvé
English > French (Québec)

Having worked as a translator and revisor for over 17 years, I’ve spent the last several years on Lingo’s impressive team of language professionals. I truly enjoy every minute of my work. My main specializations range from health and safety and the health-service industry to human resources, IT, contracts, corporate documents and transportation. Some other noteworthy career achievements include designing and delivering training sessions and conferences for translators at university level, and providing guidance to translation interns.

Rocio Tamez
English, French > Spanish

My career in translation and interpretation began over 15 years ago and has since spanned various countries (Mexico, USA, Spain, China and Canada) and a wide variety of industries including construction, human resources, performing arts, education, literary and legal translation. It’s been a great pleasure to be part of Lingo since 2004. I truly enjoy the range of projects this partnership has offered me, though I must admit I am particularly fond of technical translation challenges.
